Once again, our club has achieved President's Distinguished Club status by achieving 9 out 0f 10 of the Distinguished Club Program (DCP) goals! Star Search Toastmasters Club has achieved Distinguished Club status 11 times in the last thirteen years. This year's President's Distinguished Club status is the seventh in a row.
George Marshall will be replacing Prosad Bodas as Area A2 Governor in the 2007-2008 term!
George Marshall, long-time Star Search member, won the Area 2 Humorous Speech Contest and will compete at the Division contest on October 13th. Congratulations and Good Luck, George!
Prasad Bodas, long-time Star Search member, accepted an appointment as Area A2 governor for the 2006-2007 term. As Area Governor, Prasad is responsible for helping clubs in the area, including Star Search, build membership, and improve their benefit to members. Congratulations, Prasad!
Once again, Star Search Club achieved the highest level of recognition for clubs: President's Distinguished. This award is presented to clubs that do an excellent job at helping their members achieve their educational and leadership goals, plus other club operation requirements. Congratulations to all officers and members for creating and maintaining the wonderful club environment that enables this achievement.
Margaret Chan, a six year Toastmaster veteran, has achieved her Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award, the highest award attainable in the Toastmasters' educational program. It is both and honor and a pleasure to have such a dedicated Toastmaster as a member of this club. Congratulations, Margaret!
Both Jingnong Lin and returning member George Nixon competed in the Area A2 contests. Lin took second in the International Speech contest, and George came in second in the Table Topic contest. Congratulations to both for their commitment to improvement!

Margaret Chan, one of our most experienced members, earned the Advanced Toastmaster (ATM) Gold award, one of the most challenging awards given in Toastmasters!
