Star Search Toastmasters achieves President's Distinguished Club status!

Once again, our club has achieved President's Distinguished Club status by achieving 9 out 0f 10 of the Distinguished Club Program (DCP) goals! Star Search Toastmasters Club has achieved Distinguished Club status 11 times in the last thirteen years. This year's President's Distinguished Club status is the seventh in a row. Prasad Bodas, long-time Star Search member, accepted an appointment as Area A2 governor for the 2006-2007 term. As Area Governor, Prasad is responsible for helping clubs in the area, including Star Search, build membership, and improve their benefit to members. Congratulations, Prasad! President's Distinguished Club for the sixth year in a row!

Once again, Star Search Club achieved the highest level of recognition for clubs: President's Distinguished. This award is presented to clubs that do an excellent job at helping their members achieve their educational and leadership goals, plus other club operation requirements. Margaret Chan, a six year Toastmaster veteran, has achieved her Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award, the highest award attainable in the Toastmasters' educational program. It is both and honor and a pleasure to have such a dedicated Toastmaster as a member of this club. Congratulations, Margaret! Area Contest.

Both Jingnong Lin and returning member George Nixon competed in the Area A2 contests. Lin took second in the International Speech contest, and George came in second in the Table Topic contest. Congratulations to both for their commitment to improvement! Competent Toastmaster Award (CTM).
